Our purpose
The Safety Maintenance Company Ltd specialise in providing high quality training services for construction, electrical, manufacturing, warehousing, education, & civil engineering trades and businesses of all sizes. Whether you’re a business owner, manager, supervisor, operator, labourer, or any other employee connected to these industries and sectors, we have training courses which are designed to support your current role, and to help develop you for further career advancement.
Our history
We were established 10 years ago by 4 friend & family members whose mission was to provide these services with an unmatched and enviable customer support service, and easy access to affordable high quality training services for everyone.
Mike and Damian, directors and co-founders of the company, are committed to developing and investing in the business to drive it forward and expand into newly emerging areas of training to further compliment the company structure and client offering. They are both very much involved in the daily operations of the business and a valuable part of our support team.

Our standards
The company has evolved in to one of the most respected training providers in the industry, based on the feedback of our trainers and delegates, by supporting our valued customers at every stage of their training requirements, and by delivering training courses to the highest possible standards.
TSMC are accredited by all industry leading certification bodies, including CITB, IPAF, PASMA, UKATA, NPORS, City & Guilds, and 1st Aid etc. We also provide In-House certified courses for all your other general safety and awareness training requirements. We can also design bespoke training courses to cater for your specific needs where required.
The Safety Maintenance Company Ltd have purpose-built training centres in Yorkshire and the Midlands, and can deliver courses at your offices and sites nationwide if required. We offer a complete range of training courses to suit your needs that are classroom based, virtual, or e-learning, depending on your requirements and preferred method of learning.
Our investment
Our latest investment is the complete remodelling and renovation of our Derby training centre. There is a new reception area to welcome you, 3 new training rooms with increased capacity for delegate numbers, and to further aid in achieving current distancing measures, an improved practical area for IPAF & PASMA, and brand-new toilets for both the ladies and gents. Our investment in this centre also includes the appointment of Dave Cookman, our Training Centre and Regional Manager for the Midlands.
We have designed and developed our own bespoke CRM system “Wolf” to seamlessly manage our customer records. This includes a quoting and booking system, automatic generation of course paperwork, such as joining instructions, invoicing, internal booking forms and delegate booking lists. We can also log all customer interactions so ensure no enquiries or discussions are overlooked. This all conforms to GDPR and ensures all your data is stored securely.

Our partners
We are an accredited ATO company, which means we have partnered with the CITB to support their funded courses initiative. Did you know, if you are a CITB levy payer, there is up to £10,000 of funding available towards your training costs? By providing us with your CITB levy number when booking a course, we can also take care of all the paperwork, removing any of the associated headaches and admin time you may have experienced in the past, at no extra cost to you.
We are also proud to partner with Action for Construction, who work directly with the CITB to further enhance the funding that is available you for your training needs. For example, by combining the funding that is available from both the CITB and AFC, you can get a PASMA course from as little as £27 per person. We can talk you through the process, and even help you with the membership paperwork. Just give us a call.
