INFORMATION: NVQ’S can only be applied for through the Skills & Training Fund, NOT through the Employer Network

Employer Network Pilot

The Employer Network Pilot is a new CITB initiative, trialling an alternative method of funding training in Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire

What are the benefits of joining?

  • employers decide how funds are used and on what
  • employers decide how much of the funds contribute towards each training need
  • this is an opportunity to be part of a new employer led approach to providing funding for training and skills delivery locally
  • employers will no longer need to claim for training using the CITB grant scheme.

A flexible approach

Employer Networks are testing a more flexible funding approach than is available through current CITB funding routes.

  • training isn’t limited to a prescriptive list or restricted to a certain amount of financial support, as it is with the short duration grant scheme
  • training doesn’t need to be agreed up front, as it has to be with the Skills & Training fund
  • Employer Networks are able to respond more quickly to changing local skill needs.

Validating cards using the Construction Training Register or Online Card Checker

Data should automatically upload onto the Construction Training Register and Online Card Checker from the CSCS and NOCN systems. However, due to technical issues between the systems there is a delay in CSCS, CPCS and CISRS card achievements being uploaded. We are working with CSCS and NOCN to resolve this issue.

As an interim measure, those wanting to check their card situation can do so using the links below:

Be reassured that all existing achievements are still accessible and all outstanding achievements will be uploaded, with no achievements lost.
